Urbantravelite Top Eight Things to do in LAS Vegas

Here are my Top Eight things to do on your next trip to Las Vegas. Why only eight? Eights a lucky number in some cultures so I figure it may give you some luck…roll the dice…

1. Attend a Cirque du Soleil show.

Las Vegas Hotels is the home of 7 Cirque du Soleil shows. In true Cirque fashion they are theatrical master pieces that will leave you mesmerized.  As the ticket prices can be a tad pricy, my recommendation is to buy them closer to the show performance date. You may not be seated together if you are in a group, but the price is usually lower and sometimes there are open seats due to no show so you can move around during intermission.

2. Brunch at the Bellagio.

The biggest buffet I’ve ever been to with a countless of variety. It’s definitely worth the line up.

3. Hit at least three clubs in one night.

Vegas is definitely a party city. Clubs are pretty close together, so if you get bored of one, it’s on to the next one. Look out for specials or free entrance deals (Ladies)

4. Walk the entire strip.

It takes a couple hours, but there is so much to see up and down the strip that time will past quickly.

5. Take a picture at the Las Vegas sign.

Cheesy but cool photo opportunity

6. Play at least one table game.

Even if you don’t know how to play, other gamblers are usually nice and give you a quick tutorial.  You can also brush up on rules via youtube prior to your trip.

7. Watch the Bellagio fountain show.

Free and entertaining.  This complex water show is choreographed to opera, classical or Broadway tunes and runs every ½ hr or 15min, depending the time of day.

8. Attend a taping of a game show.

We were invited to a taping of Let’s Make a Deal with Wayne Brady. A totally random activity but a lot of fun. Our rule of thumb was if we were fortunate enough to play, we would go for the money prizes…easier to carry home than a flat screen TV.
